1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using the couplelogapplication or website (the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services. couplelog is designed for people in romantic relationships who wish to connect with a partner. By using the Services, you represent that you meet the age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter this agreement (or have valid parental consent where required by law).
3. Accounts, Security, and Pairing
To use core couple features, you must create an account and pair with a partner who also consents to connect. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for activity under your account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
- Pair only with a partner who knows and agrees to the connection.
- Not impersonate others or use another person's information without permission.
- Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
We may suspend or terminate accounts involved in fraudulent pairing, abuse, or violations of these Terms.
4. User-Generated Content & Code of Conduct
You are responsible for photos, messages, voice notes, answers, and other content you upload or share ("User Content"). While couplelog is a private space for you and your paired partner, you agree not to use the Services to:
- Harass, threaten, abuse, or harm your partner or anyone else.
- Share unlawful, exploitative, hateful, or non-consensual material (including intimate imagery shared without consent).
- Distribute spam, malware, or attempt to hack, scrape, reverse-engineer, or disrupt couplelog infrastructure.
- Violate any applicable law or third-party rights.
We may investigate violations and take action—including content removal, unpairing, or account termination—where required by law or necessary to protect users and the Services. We are not obligated to monitor all User Content.
5. License to Your Content
You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting content to the Services, you grant couplelog a limited, worldwide license to host, store, reproduce, transmit, and display that content solely to operate, backup, and improve the Services for you and your paired partner (for example, delivering a chat message or showing a shared memory). This license ends when content is deleted or your account is removed, subject to reasonable backup retention described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Third-Party Services
The Services rely on third-party providers such as Apple, Google (Sign-In and Firebase), GetStream (chat), and cloud infrastructure partners. Your use of those features may also be subject to their terms and privacy policies. couplelog is not responsible for third-party services outside our control. See our Privacy Policy for details on how data is shared with providers.
7. Intellectual Property
couplelog and its licensors own the Services, including software, design, branding, illustrations, games, and documentation (excluding your User Content). We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for your private, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from our intellectual property without written permission.
8. Disclaimers & Limitations of Liability
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COUPLELOG DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. COUPLELOG IS A LIFESTYLE AND ENTERTAINMENT PRODUCT FOR COUPLES; IT IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR PROFESSIONAL COUNSELING OR CRISIS INTERVENTION. IF YOU ARE IN DANGER OR EXPERIENCING ABUSE, CONTACT LOCAL EMERGENCY SERVICES OR A QUALIFIED PROFESSIONAL. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COUPLELOG WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR DISPUTES BETWEEN PARTNERS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time. To request closure or deletion of your account, contact us at haitran2202@gmail.com. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if necessary to protect the Services or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the Services ends immediately. Sections that by nature should survive (such as disclaimers, limitations of liability, and intellectual property) will survive termination.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where couplelog is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Where local consumer protection laws grant you non-waivable rights, those rights remain unaffected.
11. Changes and Contact
We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the Effective Date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app where appropriate. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
